The Mighty Rio Grande - One of the longest rivers of North America.  The Rio Grande flows out of the snowcapped Rocky Mountains in Colorado and journeys 1,900 miles to the Gulf of Mexico. It passes through 800 foot chasms of the Rio Grande Gorge, a wild and remote area of northern New Mexico. The canyon provides a wide variety of recreational opportunities, luring fishermen, hikers, artists, and whitewater boating enthusiasts. Access in the upper canyon is restricted by the terrain, but several trails lead to the rivers edge. The two most popular whitewater segments are the Taos Box, 17 miles of Class IV whitewater, and the 5 mile Racecourse, a Class III segment. The lower canyon is paralleled by state roads, and receives the majority of the recreational use.
The Rio Grande and Red River designation was among the original eight rivers designated by Congress as Wild and Scenic in 1968. The designation was extended by legislation in 1994 to include an additional 12 miles of the Rio Grande. The designated area includes 60 miles of the Rio Grande from the Colorado/New Mexico state line to just beyond BLM's County Line Recreation Site, and the lower 4 miles of the Red River.

One of the best discs I have ever cooked on

Posted by Wes Davis on 15th Jun 2020

I have been cooking on a disc for many years and when I found Southwest Disk, I wanted to try out their Rio Grande 24" model. The package arrived within a few days and when I unboxed the disc, I realized right away that this was a quality item. The steel is very heavy and the workmanship is first rate. I cooked on the disc as soon as I got it out of the box without any seasoning since the disc was advertised as ready to use, and it did not disappoint. It cooked as well that first time as discs I have seasoned for many years. I would recommend this product to friends and family without reservation.

    I couldn't be more pleased!

Listen y'all, if you're even remotely considering purchasing a discada disk cooker, you should definitely purchase from SouthwestDisk.com. This is a beautiful solid piece of craftmanship. I'm excited to give it an impromptu test run tonight with a simple weenie roast. My son is coming over tomorrow and we're going to get a bit more daring and try frying up some wings. I have no doubts that this beast will outlast me and my son will be using it well after I'm gone. Seriously, pick one of the many sizes and styles SouthwestDisk.com has to offer and get to cooking!

The Disc That Will Keep On Cooking For Generations

Posted by Michael Scusa on 10th Jun 2020

Received the disc in a couple days. This disc is big! Rinsed it off and started cooking on it right away. Have used it five times already. I have made my own disc's . I came across this web site, noticed it was VETERAN owned. Being a Desert Storm, Marine veteran I thought I would give it a try. Plain and simple you will not find a better disc.

Quality product all the way around!

Ordered online and the disk shipped within 45 minutes of the order being placed. Excellent craftsmanship! This disk will be passed down to my kids. If you enjoy cooking for lots of friends....this is a must have! I had one guest ask if I hung it on the wall to display it when I wasn't using it.
