The Mighty Rio Grande - One of the longest rivers of North America.  The Rio Grande flows out of the snowcapped Rocky Mountains in Colorado and journeys 1,900 miles to the Gulf of Mexico. It passes through 800 foot chasms of the Rio Grande Gorge, a wild and remote area of northern New Mexico. The canyon provides a wide variety of recreational opportunities, luring fishermen, hikers, artists, and whitewater boating enthusiasts. Access in the upper canyon is restricted by the terrain, but several trails lead to the rivers edge. The two most popular whitewater segments are the Taos Box, 17 miles of Class IV whitewater, and the 5 mile Racecourse, a Class III segment. The lower canyon is paralleled by state roads, and receives the majority of the recreational use.
The Rio Grande and Red River designation was among the original eight rivers designated by Congress as Wild and Scenic in 1968. The designation was extended by legislation in 1994 to include an additional 12 miles of the Rio Grande. The designated area includes 60 miles of the Rio Grande from the Colorado/New Mexico state line to just beyond BLM's County Line Recreation Site, and the lower 4 miles of the Red River.

Love this Discada! I’m glad I ordered the big 24 inch! You can cook a lot or as little food that you want! Easy clean up. I just wipe it down with some oil and hang it on a hook in my shop. Looking forward to cooking on it many more times.

    24in Rio Grande

Posted by William Dean on 28th May 2022

My disk arrived yesterday and I just can't believe I haven't had one of these until this late in life. The quality of material and workmanship is absolutely the best available. The horseshoe handles are fully and perfectly welded to the unbelievably thick carbon steel. I fired up my double jet burner and after it was hot coated it with oil. I let it start smoking and then allowed it to cool. The entire time I was rubbing the canola oil in with paper towel and my 3ft stainless paddle. I could have cooked on it with just the initial seasoning provided by the manufacturer. I then heated it back up while slicing vegetables and boneless chicken thighs. With a little canola oil I browned the chicken and then tossed in the vegetables. This was the Mist amazing stirfry we have ever had! Clean up was a breeze. Just wipe with a damp towel and lightly oil for storage. You sir have the best product on the market! Thank you. William Dean. Owner Blue River Valley Winery. Caddo OK.

    Fantastic Quality

Posted by Brian Lelo on 16th Apr 2022

I have had this disc for a few weeks now. Have cooked breakfast, lunch and dinner it it. It is thick and heavy. Cooks almost as well as my 36" griddle I use when home. The only thing I don't so much care for is the steapness of the disk. When cooking food in stages it is somewhat of a job to keep the food up. I will buy the shallower disk later. This is a product you keep and use for a lifetime. I use only avocado oil due to the highest smoke point to season and reseason all my steel and cast iron cookware. Super easy to clean and do not purchase without the lid, especially if you want to keep this outside all the time.
