If you thought the 22" UFO disc is big.....then this is the Starship Enterprise of our UFO style Discada's!!

This 24" cooking disk (Rio Grande) features either Trinity, Santa Fe, Angel Fire, or BBQ Springer style handles with the addition of 3 removable legs to support it over a campfire. It gives you the versatility of using it on your burner or using it on a campfire (why prop it up on rocks?!?) The legs are easily detachable and do not interfere when used on a burner. They offer many uses: campfire, fire pit, secure setting, use with limited space.....use it at home, in the woods, the desert, RV'ing or at a tailgate party...the uses are endless with only one thing in mind; fantastic food and great times with old and new friends.

  • Sturdy steel 12" legs giving it a 2' campfire radius. Easily attach and remove the legs (No need to carry around a cumbersome stand)
    • Legs will also store easily in our MRG Discada 24" Cover
  • Huge at  24" round, about a 1/4" thick
  • Semi-Flat bottom at about 10" across
  • Cones up to a height of 4"
  • Gives you 27" of cooking space end to end...this will hold a lot of food!!
  • Weighs in at a hefty 25 pounds
  • We thoroughly prep, season and clean the disk so you don't have to
  • We provide the disk with its first deep seasoning and firing (It is READY TO USE when you receive it)

ROSWELL - THE 24" UFO DISCADA **ENTERPRISE**

Posted by Rodolfo Quiroga on 8th Jul 2023

I was a bit hesitant at the beginning to order this one since I always used discs with 'rim' but this disc is amazing, heavy but not a monster like the ones with rim, plenty of room to cook, and once you get it heated it distributes heat evenly, Im very happy with my purchase.

ROSWELL - THE 24" UFO DISCADA **ENTERPRISE**

Great reviews brought me to Southwest Disc after being bitten by the discada bug. I thought I would go big and get the Enerprise as it seemed to be the most versitle with having removable legs. My first disc was from a national sports and outdoors chain and was 24” but only 1/8” thick steel. The Enterprise was the 24” round but about 1/4” thick being a true plow disc. This really retains the heat like cast iron and makes for better heat regulation. It was ready for cooking out of the box but I like to season my own way. I cleaned all surfaces and heated the discada with a propane torch to bring it to temp and applied thin coats of avacado oil building the seasoning in layers like a carbon steel pan. This really makes a nice nonstick surface and prevents rust. I also really like the golden copper color fading to a shiny black in the bowl of the disc. The inaugural dish I cooked was carnie guisada.and that was a great success. Looking forward to cooking more with this great disc!

Awesome Discada for Awesome Mexican Cooking

Posted by David Luna on 8th Aug 2021

I bought an awesome Mexican disco (Roswell - The 24" UFO Discada **Enterprise**) a few weeks ago from Southwest Disc, a U.S. Veterans-owned business in Albuquerque, and we have been enjoying making Mexican seafood paella, and yesterday the best picadillo I have ever tasted -- seriously coming from El Paso, this is noteworthy; perhaps, only because it is so much fun and delicious to make one's own recipes and the art and use of some ancient Mayan spices; the 1.5 chorizo links to 5 lbs of prime ground beef was a perfect blend; cooked fresh onions and garlic are important as well, as as a green pepper and some jalapeños! Beef broth, tomatoes, tomatoes sauce, were key as well and cumin, oregano, chili powder, paprika. And of course, peeled and diced potatoes; next weekend will aim for a discada a la Veracruzana. Mayan spices mix is a top secret!

This is one of the most interesting cooking systems I’ve ever used. It’s built like a tank and the design allows for lots of versatility. It takes some time to manage the heat. I’m pretty sure when I die that my kids will fight over who gets my disc. It’s heirloom-quality and built to last.
