A trivet, also known as a 'hot plate,' is placed between the discada and the dining table to protect the table from heat damage.
Trivet also refers to tripods used to elevate pots from the coals of an open fire. (The word trivet itself ultimately comes from Latin tripes meaning "tripod".) Metal trivets are often tripod-like structures with three legs to support the trivet horizontal in order to hold the dish or pot above the table surface.

Trivet
Well made and functional for holding the discos. If the trivet had been heat blued for a nicer finish would have given 5 star. Also have a 22 inch Trinity disc which I will give a 5 star review. Excellent products and good customer service. Thank you
