Zippered pocket & seam

These military grade covers are made and designed by my good friend and fellow veteran Eric of Mountain Ridge Gear and specifically designed to cover our discada cooking disks. This design features 1" nylon webbing around the top half outside edge, sewn with heavy #69 nylon thread and bound by 1" nylon tape. He triple bar tacks the edges for added durability and strength.

Veteran made in the USA.

Our Plow Disc Cooker covers are made with CORDURA® fabric and is a range of certified fabrics that are used in a wide array of products from luggage and backpacks to boots, military wear and performance apparel.

Ounce for ounce, CORDURA® fabric is more durable than other fabrics. No matter the application, CORDURA® fabric offers a superior strength-to-weight ratio, making it a first-choice for durable fabrics.  It is resistant to abrasions, tears, and scuffs--all the qualities expected from a high performance fabric. So regardless of the activity, users will benefit from the durability of CORDURA® fabrics.  For example, classic CORDURA® fabrics made from INVISTA high tenacity, air-jet textured nylon are:

  • 10X more durable than cotton duck
  • 3X more durable than standard polyester
  • 2X more durable than standard nylon

CORDURA® fabric offers best-in-class durability over comparable unbranded fabrics.

Discard Disc Cover for 22 inch disc

Posted by Michaelangelo Verzosa on 9th Oct 2020

So far so good. It seems just a little big. Also, there is only one opening for the actual disc. It would be nice if there were two openings so that both handles could stick out. The discs are pretty heavy so it would be easier to carry verses having all the weight on just the one handle.

    Perfect!

Each of my discada get its own cover. 24, 20, and 18. It protects from outside elements esp when travelling and storage. Would highly recommend it!

    Discada cover

Posted by David O McReynolds on 10th Aug 2020

The discada cover is lightweight, but sturdy. The purpose is to cover the disc wok in the bed of my pickup truck so it doesn't get covered with dust while I am hauling my trailer. It is not dust proof, being open on both ends, but I can probably figure out a way to cover the open ends with towels or something so it keeps most of the dust off the wok. Actually, you wouldn't want to make an airtight seal around the wok, because that would promote condensation and rust, so this is about as good as it gets.

    24" Discada cover

High quality materials and craftsmanship. Well worth the money. Make storing so much easier. The only thing that would make this better is if Mountain Ridge offered a bag for the discada stand. Maybe soon...

    Very good cover

Posted by karl A von wolff on 2nd Jun 2020

I got this along with the the 18" disc. The fit is very good, and the canvas material is of good heavy quality. I had another cover made out of marine canvas for my other disc, these work great on keeping dust/dirt off the disc's when you're traveling from place to place.

This cover is essential if you own a Southwest Disk. It is easy to use and seems very durable. A nice way to store your disk.
