The Mighty Rio Grande - One of the longest rivers of North America.  The Rio Grande flows out of the snowcapped Rocky Mountains in Colorado and journeys 1,900 miles to the Gulf of Mexico. It passes through 800 foot chasms of the Rio Grande Gorge, a wild and remote area of northern New Mexico. The canyon provides a wide variety of recreational opportunities, luring fishermen, hikers, artists, and whitewater boating enthusiasts. Access in the upper canyon is restricted by the terrain, but several trails lead to the rivers edge. The two most popular whitewater segments are the Taos Box, 17 miles of Class IV whitewater, and the 5 mile Racecourse, a Class III segment. The lower canyon is paralleled by state roads, and receives the majority of the recreational use.
The Rio Grande and Red River designation was among the original eight rivers designated by Congress as Wild and Scenic in 1968. The designation was extended by legislation in 1994 to include an additional 12 miles of the Rio Grande. The designated area includes 60 miles of the Rio Grande from the Colorado/New Mexico state line to just beyond BLM's County Line Recreation Site, and the lower 4 miles of the Red River.

This is a great product. Finally got a chance to use it, and was so pleased that nothing stuck to it. Cooked everything just great, and clean up was a breeze.

Works like a champ. I used this at our neighborhood cookout and everybody wants one now. Short cook time and great taste. Leaves more time for corn hole and beverages.

A few of my friends have discadas, but not one from Southwest Disk. There's are OK, but mine is freaking awesome. The first dinner was 2 New York strips one medium well and one medium rare, asparagus, zucchini, mushrooms and onions were all cooked at the same time. Dinner for 2 in about 15 minutes. But again, Thank you for your Service!! I too am a veteran.

    Great Product!

Having a 36" Blackstone, i purchased the 24" Rio Grande for quick, smaller cooking projects. Works great with shrimp, steaks, peppers and onions and a outstanding job on fajitas. Clean up is easy, only thing i wish was available would be a rubber cover to lay over it to help with oxidation when it is not in use. It is seasoned properly and oil down after use, but it will start to show a few areas, a rubber cover to lay on the disk to seal it would solve the problem.

    This thing is amazing!

I just go my discada and have used it a few times already. This thing really is a great way to cook so many different things in the outdoor. I am going to put this to use cooking for our Boy Scout Troop since this is so good at cooking for a large number of people at a time. I definitely recommend this.

    Work of art.

Just received today, new to the entire practice. Shipped nicely, arrived undamaged in any way. Absolutely beautiful workmanship. The handle welding was done by someone who was, A - competent, and B - gives a crap a about their workmanship. Really well done welding. And the disc is similarly finished. Anxious to use it! Thank you and keep up the attention to workmanship.

Read this review! You MUST buy this product.

I could write for days about the quality of these discos. I am a commercial whitewater rafting outfitter and was first introduced to disco cooking by a good friend of mine who I guided multi-day rafting adventures with in Hells Canyon of Idaho. He had traveled to South American and returned with a disco and shared the knowledge about how to use it. Since then our guide staff (approx. 15 people) has exclusively used Southwest Disks products for our camp and just recently we did a 20 person corporate trip and did ALL of our cooking on Discos... bacon and eggs, fajitas... they came out great! I just got an email from the organizer saying that the food was well above expectations. This product is a must have. You need to get one and learn how to use it and your life will never be the same. I was a cook for years, then an expedition and hunting camp cook and backcountry guide in Idaho for over a decade and am pretty darn good with a dutch oven, but the Disco is in many cases much easier to use and man does the food come out great. You can use a firepan and a bed of coals, a blaster stove (we use the Woodland power stove in our kitchen), or a campfire. Last trip we had 4 discos going for all meals... very very very satisfied!!!
