The Mighty Rio Grande - One of the longest rivers of North America.  The Rio Grande flows out of the snowcapped Rocky Mountains in Colorado and journeys 1,900 miles to the Gulf of Mexico. It passes through 800 foot chasms of the Rio Grande Gorge, a wild and remote area of northern New Mexico. The canyon provides a wide variety of recreational opportunities, luring fishermen, hikers, artists, and whitewater boating enthusiasts. Access in the upper canyon is restricted by the terrain, but several trails lead to the rivers edge. The two most popular whitewater segments are the Taos Box, 17 miles of Class IV whitewater, and the 5 mile Racecourse, a Class III segment. The lower canyon is paralleled by state roads, and receives the majority of the recreational use.
The Rio Grande and Red River designation was among the original eight rivers designated by Congress as Wild and Scenic in 1968. The designation was extended by legislation in 1994 to include an additional 12 miles of the Rio Grande. The designated area includes 60 miles of the Rio Grande from the Colorado/New Mexico state line to just beyond BLM's County Line Recreation Site, and the lower 4 miles of the Red River.

    Love This!!!!

This 24" Rio Grande discada is AWESOME! We love it!! The bigger the better, because I can cook things on the side walls like tortillas or keep what I cooked previously warm! I know I couldn't have done that as easy on the smaller one. Also its easy to sear things quickly and without making the mess you do inside (i.e. steaks)!! Love it!

I love this wok! This thing is huge, heavy, and amazing. It will handle anything you can put in and lots of it. I own many dutch ovens, a smoker, and grills, this wok fits right in with all my cast iron. Just get it you will be happy you did!

When you want to be with the Big Dogs, size does matter! 24"!!! I have had a few of these Discos made by friends and by far this is the highest quality yet I have used. Real HVY for HVY cooks! I have been using mine for about a year or more. From frying fish & shrimp to frying chicken, it can handle large orders. Mine came with screw-in legs that I have also burned wood for Carnitas. Do get the Burner and make it a package! When You bust it out on your folks they will remember your discada before they remember you jokes.

    Outstanding!!

Posted by Darrin - Traverse City, Michigan on 4th Jun 2012

Received the Rio Grande last week and have used it 4 out of 5 nights to whip up dinner. The disc arrived 'ready to use' and I have been slowly seasoning it after each use. I'm in love! The design is perfect for its intended purpose. The heavy steel heats up quick and maintains and even heat throughout the cooking process. You don't need to crank the BTU's!! This disc responds well to heat and I found myself turning down the burner the first couple times using it. Cleanup is a snap. If I can't scrape everything out then I will just add some water and then swish it out with a balled up piece of burlap. Then I apply a thin coat of oil to season while the disc is still warm. VERY VERY VERY happy with this purchase!

I purchased the Rio Grande for my husband's birthday... it is better than I expected. My husband loves it. It is easy to use, easy to clean, cooks food quickly and is HUGE. I also purchased the protable adjustable burner. The first one came in damanged. I called and within three days had a new burner. The customer service is outstanding. I just cannot rave enought about this product.

    fantastic cooking hardware!

Posted by Lol on 2nd Feb 2012

let's just begin with what great customer service I received when buying this disc and move to how happy I am with the Rio Grande disc. It cooks as good as it looks, heats very evenly and stays hot. Looking forward to many more great meals from this bad boy. I will say that if you dont cook for large groups often this disc may be too much cooking surface for you, I am gonna go ahead and get a 22" for when its just the wife and I, save the propane for the big times
