The Mighty Rio Grande - One of the longest rivers of North America. The Rio Grande flows out of the snowcapped Rocky Mountains in Colorado and journeys 1,900 miles to the Gulf of Mexico. It passes through 800 foot chasms of the Rio Grande Gorge, a wild and remote area of northern New Mexico. The canyon provides a wide variety of recreational opportunities, luring fishermen, hikers, artists, and whitewater boating enthusiasts. Access in the upper canyon is restricted by the terrain, but several trails lead to the rivers edge. The two most popular whitewater segments are the Taos Box, 17 miles of Class IV whitewater, and the 5 mile Racecourse, a Class III segment. The lower canyon is paralleled by state roads, and receives the majority of the recreational use.
The Rio Grande and Red River designation was among the original eight rivers designated by Congress as Wild and Scenic in 1968. The designation was extended by legislation in 1994 to include an additional 12 miles of the Rio Grande. The designated area includes 60 miles of the Rio Grande from the Colorado/New Mexico state line to just beyond BLM's County Line Recreation Site, and the lower 4 miles of the Red River.

A wonderful multi-use cooking tool!
We have only had the disc cooker for a few weeks, but we love it! It is very heavy duty and holds heat very well without sacrificing warm-up time. We have used it for stir-fry and discada at home, and have taken it to football tailgates to cook breakfast. We are planning to make some indian food, and fajitas soon. We just love it, and for the price it is amazing!

REALLY helpful for Scout outings!
Received the 24" disc and burner as a present and I've been thrilled with the results! Have used the combo for Scout outings and it's been extremely useful. Not only does the cooker hold a lot of food, it does a great job of holding and retaining heat, just like cast iron. On the most recent outing, breakfast was chopped onions, peppers, potatoes, sauteed them in the disc, then added some bulk sausage that had previously been smoked, then added eggs. Served on warmed tortillas with homemade salsa and topped with cheese. Yum! Having the large pan means we can decrease the total number of pans needed to feed everyone. It also allows us to add a burner to what's available on the outing. Before the discada and burner, we would primarily use a three burner stove... imagine the above breakfast done on a three burner: one burner for coffee, one for sauteing veggies, and one for meat and then eggs. That means waiting until everything is done before starting water to boil for clean up. With the disc and the burner, we have enough space AND enough burners to cook efficiently. Excellent product and terrific service!

This one's a keeper.
Even on the first use it was obvious how much better this is than trying to cook batches in multiple iron skillets. I really like the thickness of the disk and the wok shape. This disk is big- so it will take up some real estate storing it. Mine will hang from a viga in my kitchen when not in use!

Excellent Product
I just had the chance to use my new disk cooker for the first time and it did not disappoint. Cooked very well with low heat and kept everything warm.

Served 50, no problem!
Made discada for a church gathering. Served more than 50 people from the one meal made in the disk. It holds a lot. Heavy duty and well made. Center cooked well, sides kept things warm. Very pleased with the disk. Also, needed it quick and it was there quickly. And that was just there normal delivery time. Thanks!
