This thing is a beast! I love it- will order another for spare.
Amazing! It arrived quickly and was a little bit bigger than I was expecting. I washed it up and put a second seasoning on it. It turned a beautiful golden brown color. I have been using it on my kitchen stove and since it it so big when you fry in the middle the grease doesn't splatter all over the stove top, as most of it stays in the disc. Now this is carbon steel so it will heat and cool faster than cast iron so there is a learning curve but it is smooth and easy to use, I haven’t had any sticking issues. I like that I can move my food in and out of a hot area or in and out of the oil or juice area. Once I have had some time with it I’m sure it will be one of my favorite cooking vessels
Well made, heavy duty, cooks very well. Happy that I bought it
Recieved quickly, exactly as described and pictured. Good quality. So pleased!
This is a solid buy. The heat while cooking a discada was great, easy to control and easy to move things around. The size is perfect to handle the food in an out of the heat zone. I'd recommend this to friends that enjoy using disks.
The disk is great quality and perfect size. Loved that it was already seasoned and ready to go. Received lots of great comments from others about the quality when comparing to their own product. Glad I chose Southwest Disk.
My husband has been wanting one of these cooking discs for ever. I am so happy I found y'all!! This product exceeded both my and his expectations!! Thick quality grade, heavy to evenly distribute the heat. He was so excited. Any other time he is hard to excite about presents. He is the giver not a receiver. He was in love!! Using this weekend!! Thank you so much Will highly recommend you to everyone we know ❤ Thank you Sonia R Rodriguez
The disk is largely similar to the ones my friends have, This one has a nice spot that has never had a hole, so it looks cleaner than theirs. The handle welds are nice too. Well worth the money to keep a business this good in the US. Was ready to use right out of the box. And the fast shipping was great. This thing is going to last forever. People on the trip were impressed, I recommended they buy this brand.
The neighbors stare in awe as I startup the Cajun microwave and slap the disk over the burners. Render some bacon and then in the bacon fat fry 4 pounds of Walla Walla sweet onion rings. Within minutes the neighborhood comes to a halt as the fried onion perform their magic. With the ability to cook across various levels of heat, the potatoes come next. Oh yum. Then spices and vinegar, oh yeah. Or add olive oil and a half of stick of butter. The moment the water comes off the oil, add minced garlic and a fillet of halibut... OMG. This is the cooking vessel I have been looking for for 30 years. My paella pan will finally get a rest and my wok will retire to the garage. You cannot go wrong with the disk.
