The Moab Rim Trail

The Moab Rim trail is one of our favorites of many Jeep trails in Moab that we enjoy rock crawling on and what better way to share this than name one of our Disco's after this beautiful 4x4 trail.  A big hit with us at the Annual Easter Jeep Safari in Moab is our Southwest Discada's!! Maybe we will see you there!?

The Moab Rim is the cliff rim seen just to the southwest of Moab. Its only four-wheel-drive access begins just down river from town and the first mile has about the highest density of obstacles of any of the area trails. Many vehicles have "bit the rocks" on the succession of rock ledges and tight turns that lead to the rim. On top, the trail is sand and rock as it leaves the rim, but it returns at another overlook. A spur, sometimes used, visits Indian ruins and rock art. After closing a short loop, the trail returns on the same rocky mile it started with. A formerly used trail loop to the famous Egg Ranch Fin and Death Row has been closed for more than ten years to all motorized travel by BLM's Resource Management Plan.

Very well built and looks like it should last a lifetime if taken care of properly. Definitely thicker than other options we had looked at.

    Great Disk

Posted by Lou on 17th Jul 2019

First off great costumer service! I special ordered my disk with the leg options just in case I want to take it camping with me, I like having the option to use it with a propane stand or over a camp fire. This disk is super heavy duty and is made to last a lifetime and more. The welds and finish are top notch. I enjoyed cooking with it and the clean up was as easy as wiping it down. You cant beat the price for this disk, you get way more that what you pay for.

This is an awesome addition to the outdoor grilling arsenal. It is large and does a great job. The company updates you on the status and delivers exactly what they advertise. I have used this several times and the flavors that are achieved using this disk are amazing. I am glad to be apart of the Southwest Disk Family.

Posted by GMarteeny on 11th Jun 2019

I am still seasoning/burning my 24" moab rim in, but i can already tell i am going have some cooking fun with this beast, very well built super sturdy and large handles for those with big paws, this thing is bomb proof it will last me a lifetime , watched a guy out camping cook an entire meal for a family of four on what i think was a 20" disk with a one inch rim he welded on himself , he'd had this unit for quite sometime you could tell and he said he wouldn't take anything else camping, so i had to get me one one more outdoor cooking tool ha ha, can't wait to get cooking on it

too many good things to say

Posted by lee on 20th Mar 2019

All i can say is I am very glad i finally pulled the trigger and purchased my moab 24. I spent my first couple days giving it a deeper seasoning with manteca. I have cooked on it around 10 times now and i can say that the quality is amazing, and this thing should last a lifetime. I have made a true discada meal, breakfast tacos, fajitas, new orleans style bbg shirmp, fried rice, and other meansl and this thing handles it all. Dont wait to get yours.
